Core Responsibilities

• Contribute individually and as part of a sales engineering team to support mid-market sales team’s sales requirements.
• Collaborate with regional sales executives to properly discover, design, and develop solutions that solve customer needs.
• Assist with creating professional solutions proposals for delivery to customers.
• Attend customer appointments in-person or via video call.
• Attend sales team huddles, engineering team huddles, one-on-ones, and coaching sessions all to support sales team goals and increasing revenue for the business.
• Provide technical product and process training to sales team members as well as other cross-functional teams to share knowledge and experience for the benefit of the company.
• Review and assist with both E-Rate and standard commercial customer requests and RFPs.
• Experience with the following preferred:
• Fiber, Coax, Wavelengths, Ethernet, SD-WAN, MPLS, Switching, Routing, Routing Protocols, IP Addressing, Firewalls, Unified Threat Management, PRI, SIP, Hosted Voice, Cloud Services, Managed/Professional Services, High Availability, Cellular Backup, MS Office Suite including Visio.
• Performs needs analyses for the Company and its customers and produces strategic, cost-effective solutions.
• Provides timely, technical support and problem resolution for field service questions.
• Supports Sales team with product modifications and engineering expertise for custom projects.
• Assists representatives and customers in evaluating and selecting products.
• Creates, reviews and executes product test plans and cases, documents test progress and reports results.
• Recommends products to meet customer needs.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
